D&M Steel, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for its Pacoima, California facility to carry out the following duties:
- Duties:
• Manage projects with cross functional teams and hold responsibility for project development, design reviews, budget, and schedule.
• Perform project development tasks, including cost benefit evaluations, alternative analysis, project estimates, scope development, and execution planning using a gated project delivery system.
• Determine the necessary resources needed (engineering firm, field services, material expediting, etc.) to accomplish the intent of the project and schedule as needed.
• Use Tekla Structures software to review and refine project designs to ensure structures are safe and economical and fulfill project requirements while adhering to industry codes and standards.
• Maintain and track project budget, change-orders, and schedule and effectively communicate to management on a regular basis ensuring that the projects come in “on budget” and are completed “on time” while delivering project objectives.
• Engage with production/installation teams to benchmark and adopt best practices, enhancing operational results and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to forecast and plan for the Design Group’s future, ensuring readiness and adaptability to meet evolving market demands.
• Develop, implement, and maintain innovative solutions, procedures, and practices that uphold production and our commitment to quality and safety.
• Visit project sites within commuting distance approximately 10%.
- Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related + 1 year experience in the job or as Project Engineer or related
